After 3 years, I’m returning to posting.  Hopefully, I will update more than once a year (although you may be fine with a yearly update since you may not find my thoughts to be that interesting), but we shall see.  Let’s begin with an update:

I’ve graduated from Moody’s M.Div online program!

I didn’t do a flip, nor did I fall…

It was a long journey, but I am so thankful to be finished.  I cannot thank enough my wife for all her support and encouragement. Thanks also to my parents and in-laws for their help in watching the kids, dropping off picking them up from school, as well as all the sitters and friends for their prayers, encouragement, and support.  Will I return to school?  Possibly.  We shall see where the Lord leads…

As an aside, I will say that a completely online program required a lot of self-discipline in the areas of time management and study habits. Using productivity tools and systems were critical to helping me keep everything on track and on time.

A couple years ago, I also started working full-time at my friend’s firm.

So while I drive an average of 3-4 hours a day, this gives me a lot of time to listen to podcasts, lectures for school, sermons, etc.  (LPT: If you can play something at 1.25 or 1.5 speed, you can get through lectures a lot faster.)  Work has gotten very busy, but as a criminal defense attorney, you gotta go where the cases are.

As for where we are headed, we’ll see where the Lord leads!
