In the book Emotional Intelligence for Religious Leaders, the authors quote Ara Parseghian (a former football coach), “A good coach will make his players see what they can be, rather than what they are.”

What if we lead those we disciple to wonder what God can do through them? What if we equip and disciple others by helping them imagine what they can be in the might and miraculous hands of God?

We often say (and I assume believe) that God can save and redeem murderers (King David and Saul), liars (Jacob), and other sinners (tax collectors and prostitutes). Surely if the Lord can transform their lives, he can transform ours!

What about you? Where can you see God moving in your life? What can God do in your life? Imagine the possibilities of what God can do!

Then, what is the next step you need to take to grow in that direction?
